Our Process:
Process flow for Tool Production below:
The process begins with an input from the customer, which can be a sample or 3D-data.
If the input is a sample, it is converted into a virtual component design and then validated.
If the input is 3D data, it is directly validated as component design.
After validation of the component design, it proceeds to mould design and then to validation of mould design by the customer.
The next step involves three parallel processes:
The Toolroom Department plans machining of the seperate mould components that make up the complete mould assembly.
The Design Department generates 2D drawings, to aid the machining of the Mould components e.g. Cavity and Core housings, Core and cavity inserts and their sub-inserts etc.
The Purchasing Department procures materials.
These steps lead to the assembly of the mould and trial of the mould.
After successful trials, post-processing of the tool (polishing/painting etc.) is done.
Finally, the tool is packed and shipped to the customer.
This flowchart represents a typical process for tool production, but the exact steps can vary depending on the specific requirements of the customer and the type of tool being produced. We would love to hear your Tooling needs. Contact us today!
